Welcome to dellwyn --
Welcome to the land of Dellwyn- a land forged by a time long past. Humanity has all but vanished here, leaving behind rotting wonders and old dangers. Empty towns, silent highways, emerging sickness and wild elil- these are but some of the dangers that rabbits of this territory must face. Nature has reclaimed what she lost.. and then some.
Dellwyn borders the edge of the abandoned city and the expanding wilderness, nestled comfortably between the two worlds. The forest itself is dense with trees- the sky can barely be glimpsed through the towering branches. As such, the only distinction between day and night within Dellwyn is the rabbits' own personal distinction. However, travel to the edge of the woods, and witness Frith's rise in the east, where empty terrain transforms to harsh desert. Due north of the warren lies a series of rocky mountain peaks, and to the south lies lands unexplored to the warren, though it seems many hlessi who join the warren originate from the south. Frith sets in the west, where jagged cliffs mark the end of land and the beginning of coastline. The main warren itself begins a short trek into the forest. The central cavern is both held up by and disguised by a series of healthy and rotting trees, which allow sunlight into the warren. This is where the rabbits welcome strangers and spend time with warren mates. Travel downwards, and you'll see where food is kept safe and cold in the dark. Travel further, and the warren expands unnaturally- held up by rusted metal and carved stone. Cobbled pathways often emerge suddenly and leave quickly from the usual dirt tunnels. Beyond, however, the warren becomes a labyrinth. Few besides the original founders of Dellwyn know exactly how far or where everything is situated. Often personal digs are scattered wherever one finds suitable room. It isn't uncommon for a few designated rabbits to become 'Lier' - helpful faces to guide you where you need to go. Follow with caution, however, because these rabbits are prone to talk an ear off. species main page |
notes ;;
-- the name 'dellwyn' came from a rusted highway sign, many of the original letters had worn off -- pets left behind from the humans have become feral, only the strongest survived - many of these pets encounter and spread foreign diseases -- the usual physique of rabbits within Dellwyn is wiry and taut- many are runners -- there is always groups of rabbits who are patrolling the territory to report any accidents or strange occurrences (thus the need for the Fuléao and Thanléao) -- the warren encounters a variety of human structures, from sewers to collapsed construction sites to an empty mall - many of these structure create supports for the tunnels of the warren |

Name ;; Felle-rah (fel)
Gender ;; Doe Role ;; Leader Felle-rah is a leader who rules through cooperation. She wants everyone to say their fair share and lend a hand in keeping things running smoothly. However, when time is running out, she's prone to impulse. Felle-rah is still naive, however much she may deny it. To her, there is still a "wrong" and "right" way, despite the many apparent shades of gray. She aims to be and do good. Felle-rah would sacrifice anything for the rabbits in her warren. The rabbits of Dellwyn are her family. This is what drives her, day in and day out. // click here for more information // |
Name ;; Iphyne (if-een)
Gender ;; Doe Role ;; Seer Though blinded, Iphyne is plagued by the future. One moment she'll be hopping along, the next her mind is tangled in knots by sensations and scents that are overwhelming. The next moment she stumbles back to herself, albeit usually confused and disorientated. It's a curse, and Iphyne is never quite sure if she's experiencing the present or a future yet to come. She can be frustrating to rabbits who don't understand her inability to make sense of things herself, so she's grown snappish with the seasons. She clings desperately to any certainty she can find within her world. // click here for more information // |
Name ;; Ostham
Gender ;; Buck Role ;; Storyteller Ostham is a quiet and observant rabbit, at least until you get him going. His mind is always racing, recording everything he sees and remembering how he can weave it together into a new story. Find something he likes and he can talk for hours. He's also great at lending an ear if something is bothering a rabbit- friend or not. As long as Ostham is doing something- whether talking or listening- he's collected. But the second the warren becomes quiet, he gets antsy. He becomes paranoid, and has to hop through the tunnels just to assure himself that everything is alright. // click here for more information // |
